Thai Energy Conservation was given the privilege to participate in the TREATI Workshop for the EU & ASEAN Standard and Technical Regulations in the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Sectors last June 22-23 at Bangkok Thailand. Apart of this workshop was mainly focusing on the EU Regulation and Legislations on Waste Electrical and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substance in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS). Mr. Rawiwat Panasantipap (above left- photo), Managing Director of Thai Energy Conservation was one of the speakers, since the company is the PIONEER in environmental conscious design program in Thailand. The overview and implementation of EU Regulation and Legislation for ASEAN producers was a big impact and responsibility to many Thai Exporters, however the presentation on the key benefits to both ASEAN Producers and EU consumers has gained positive effect to all sectors, particularly in the principle of prevention, recovery, safe disposal, re-use, recycling and energy recovery of the electrical and electronic equipments. The ECONO-WATD products of Thai Energy Conservation Co., Ltd have set as the example of the EU environmental requirement. This workshop was also incorporated by renowned guest and speakers from Deputy Director Generals, the British Standards Institute, European Commissioners, to the Thai and EU institutions and organisations, financed by the European Commission and supported by Department of Foreign Trade and National Metal and Materials Technology Centre.
